OPHELIA exists between sculpture and organic form. Rooted in space, it rises in a quiet, fluid gesture—as if the bronze itself had come alive for a fleeting moment.
 
Nothing appears static. Its slender stem grows upward, unfolding into two sculptural cups that receive the light. With every burning candle, new shadows, reflections, and atmospheres emerge, allowing the work to transform continuously.
 
Cast using the traditional lost wax technique, every line and every surface preserves the direct imprint of the artist's hand. From the first wax model to the final finishing touches, each piece is created entirely by hand. There are no reproductions. No editions. Only this one unique work.

THE MAKING OF THE ORGANICA COLLECTION
 
The ORGANICA collection by Cornelia Henze is inspired by the organic forms of nature and created in bronze using the traditional lost wax casting process.
 
Each sculpture begins as an individual wax model, hand-shaped and refined by Cornelia Henze. Every work is created from a newly modelled form—no mould is ever reused.
 
The wax model is then encased in a heat-resistant investment material by a long-established Munich art foundry before being melted away. Molten bronze is poured into the resulting cavity, and once the metal has cooled, the mould is carefully broken away to reveal the raw casting.
 
The bronze is then sandblasted, polished, and once again worked entirely by hand by Cornelia Henze. Every surface develops its own texture, character, and unmistakable artistic signature.
 
The result is a one-of-a-kind sculpture—shaped by the vitality of the material and bearing the visible trace of the hand that created it.
