MATERIALS

CORNELIA HENZE places the highest demands on the quality and origin of the materials used. Only genuine materials (pearls, silver, bronze and precious stones) are used. The materials (except pearls) are exclusively purchased from regional suppliers. This not only guarantees short distribution channels but also supports local businesses and manufacturers.

Cultured Freshwater Pearls

CORNELIA HENZE’s cultured freshwater pearls originate from a pearl farm close to Shanghai, China. Tiny mantle tissue pieces are implanted in shells (Hyriopsis Cumingii) to culture the freshwater pearls. This leads to the formation of a pearl sac with a mother of pearl. The pearls are harvested after 3 - 5 years. Freshwater pearls are not uniformly round, each pearl has a unique shape, which gives the pearl its special charm. Pearls are evaluated based on the following quality criteria: size, shape, colour, surface purity and lustre (brilliancy). The pearls used by CORNELIA HENZE meet the highest quality standards for surface purity, lustre and colour.

Jewellery care tips

 

Pearls, Silver and Bronze are natural products. Please avoid spraying them with perfume and minimise contact with other cosmetics. Clean the pearls regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth.

 

Remove jewelry before sport, taking a bath, showering or cleaning.

 

Silver can tarnish over time, so please clean your jewelry regularly with a silver cloth.

 

Store your precious items carefully in your jewelry bag.
